RCA Studio - B
30 Music Square West

In 1956 Chet Atkins ( Manager of Operations of RCA Records ) bought the contracts of Elvis, Roy Orbison, and Charlie Rich from Sun Records in Memphis.
That move would start the process of making Studio B the most hit generating studio in Music Row's very impressive history.
Studio B pioneered what would become known as "The Nashville Sound", which put the emphasis on string and background vocals for a "Smooth and Sophisticated Sound"

In 1957 Dan Maddox built Studio B. It took four months, and cost $37,515.18
