Located in Jackson, Mich. The Cascades are basically man made waterfalls. There is actually a Tennessee connection here. The City of Jackson was founded in 1829 and named in honor of President Andrew Jackson
(a Tennessean). Construction of the Cascades started during the Depression, and opened to the public on May 10th, 1932. There
were 25,000 people in attendance for the grand opening. William sparks
conceived the idea and financed the construction of the Cascades.
