  Loveland Castle was modeled after a Castle in South West France.
The owner and constructor, Harry Andrews became fascinated with
Castles while stationed in France during World War I.
 
  Loveland is 20 miles North East of Cincinnati (where I - 71 and I - 275
intersect)

Castle Interior

Some Loveland Castle Trivia :
 
Originally known as Chateau LaRouche, which translates to Castle Rock.
 
Construction was began in 1929, and took 50 years to complete.
 
Why 50 years ? The work was done by one man, Harry D. Andrews (1890 - 1981).
 
Mr. Andrews kept track of the work he did on the Castle. 23,000 hours of labor. $12,001.38 in material cost which included 2,602 bags of cement. 32,005 milk cartons were used to make concrete bricks.
 
There are 250 varieties of flowers in the garden.
 
There are 17 rooms in the Castle.
 
During the Halloween Season Loveland Castle becomes a Haunted Castle.
 
Loveland Castles has drawn over a Million visitors over the last 25 years.
