The original Rosie's Diner is known as the "Queen of Diners"
and is the most famous Diner in the World. The 1946 Paramount
Deluxe was originally known as the Silver Dollar Diner
when it
was located in Little Ferry N.J. The Diner was featured
in a
series of classic Bounty (The Quicker Picker Upper) T.V.
ads
featuring Nancy Walker as Rosie the waitress. The
Diner was
renamed Rosie's Diner in the 1970's. Rosie's remained
in New
Jersey until 1991. That's when Jerry Berta bought Rosie's
and
moved it to Rockford, Michigan. Rosie's re-opened
for business
on July 5th of 1991, and within 5 years had served over
1 million
customers.
