the harding memorial was completed in 1927. the
memorial is surrounded by a manicured 10 acre park
adjacent to the marion cemetery. constructed of
white georgia marble, the memorial is styled after
a greek temple. the memorial is 103 ft. in diameter,
53 ft. high, and has 46 doric greek columns. president
herbert hoover dedicated the memorial in 1931.
the harding memorial is the last of the elaborate
presidential tombs.
