President Rutherford B. Hayes laid the cornerstone in September of 1877. The original part of the building was completed in April of 18882. Additions were made over the years.
Added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1972.

Originally used as a Post Office and Court House
Later tenants included The Civil Service Commission
Food and Drug Admin. and the FBI
