During the 1890's David Buick began tinkering with internal combustion engines. His first "Motor Company" was set
up to make engines for Agricultural applications. But, it looked like this horse-less carriage thing
might catch on. The Buick Manufacturing Co. was started in 1902 supplying engines for
the new Automotive Industry. Maybe even a Buick Motor Car. David Buick is credited with
developing the revolutionary (at the time) "Valve - In - Head" overhead valve engine.
