In 1945 Henry J. Kaiser and Joseph W. Frazer formed the Kaiser - Frazer Corp.
After many disputes with Mr. Kaiser, Mr Frazer left the Corporation in 1951. The Frazer name was dropped in1951. Reorganized
as the Kaiser Motor Corp. in 1953.
The primary manufacturing facility, and Corporate Headquarters were in a B-24 Bomber
Plant in Willow Run, Mich.
In 1953 the Kaiser Motor Corp. aquired Willys - Overland Corp, makers of Willys Cars
and Jeeps. The Company became known as Willys Motors Inc. In 1954 Kaiser Motor operations were phased out at Willow
Run and moved to the Willys facility in Toledo, Oh. The last Kaiser was produced in 1955.
In 1963 Willys Motor became Kaiser - Jeep. American Motors took control of Kaiser -
Jeep in 1970.
