After losing control of G.M. Billy Durant teamed up with race car driver Louis Chevrolet. Together they began the Chevrolet Motor Co.which became very successful. The success of Chevrolet enabled Billy Durant to regain con-trol of G.M. in 1915. Chevrolet was brought into the G.M. fold shortly there - after.
 Billy Durant lost control of G.M. for the last time in 1920. A determined Billy Durant, thought "I did it once I can do it again" and in 1921 Durant Motor Corp.started producing Durants in New York State. Durant Motor produced Cars from 1921 - 1932, but couldn't recover from the Stock Market Crash of 1929. Durant Motor Corp. was disolved in 1933.
 What ever happened to Billy Durant ? He made a fortune as a Wall Street investor, and lost his fortune during the Depression. He filed for bankrupycy in 1936. He opened up a Bowling Alley in Flint in 1940. Hesuffered a stroke and  died in New York in 1947.
