built in 1949 for the bottlers of brooks rich and
tangy catsup. the bottle is actually a water tower.
170 ft. from the ground to the top of the bottle .
the bottle itself is 70 ft. tall, 25 ft in diameter at the
base, and the bottle cap is 8 ft in diameter . the bottle
can hold 100,000 gallons of water .
the bottle was saved from demolition in 1995, and has
been restored to it's original appearance .
named to the national register of historic places
in 2002 .
the bottle is located just south of downtown
collinsville on ill rte 159. (between i-64 and i-55)
