  The station was built in 1932 in a "House and Canopy" style,and is modeled after a 1916 Standard Oil of Ohio
design. Through the years the station also sold Phillips
66, and Sinclair products. This was a working gas station
until 1967. By 1975 the station was closed completely.
 
Neglected and near ruin, the Village of Odell bought the
station in 1999. The Illinois Route 66 Association has
restored the station.
  Added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1997.
