The last building pictured is of the Postville Courthouse.
It is a reproduction of Logan County's 1st
Courthouse that was
in use from 1840 to 1847. Abraham Lincoln served as a
Lawyer here. This reproduction was built in 1953 as a
Lincoln, Illinois Centennial project.
The original Courthouse was sold to Henry Ford in 1929.
He moved it to Dearborn, Michigan, to be a part of
Greenfield Village.
The 1st Courthouse pictured here
was built in 1905. It is
Logan County's 3rd Courthouse, and is considered to be
the 2nd most architecturally spectacular Courthouse in
Illinois.
Added to the National Register of Historic Places in
1985.
