Franklin

Williamson County was established in 1799. Franklin, it's County Seat
was founded in 1799 also, and was named in honor of Benjamin Franklin.

Often described as "Fifteen miles and a Hundred years from Nash -ville", the Franklin / Williamson Co. area is one of the fastest growing areas in Tennessee. The 2000 Census recorded Franklin's population at 41,842. In July of 2006 the population was estimated to be 55,870, a 33.5 % increase !

Franklin is South of Nashville on I - 65.
