this is not a restored station. original 1929 shell
oil blueprints were used to re-create this 1930's era
shell station. it was constructed on the grounds
of the gilmore car museum in 1998.
the porcelain signs are original signs from the
shell station that operated in hickory corners,
just 3 miles from the museum. the signs were found
in a barn just a mile away from the museum.
